Snowday
Since we're getting pretty hammered by this snowstorm today, a good deal of things are shut down. Today is a day, I really wish I didn't have the ability to work from home. I'd call out of work and really enjoy the weather and the day!
12am and Rambling
This weekend was sort of a wash for us, we didn't get much accomplished. Sunday I woke up earlier and had the bright idea of going to the store before all the snow crazed church folks got there. Went to Super G and Willey's and got everything we needed and we were back by 10:30. I think I took a brief nap around 12:30 then spent most of the day sitting on my butt doing as little as possible. A bit of wash was done and some laundry was put away. I had every little energy to do anything. I had a headache that was ever so slight, but just enough to be a pain in the butt. Of course I didn't take anything for it. So it stuck around all day, until I went to bed a little after 9. It is now midnight and I am awake...WTF! I woke up starving so I came downstairs and made myself a bagel and I'm sipping on some OJ. Tired as hell, but can't seem to go back to sleep. Still feeling a bit blah...Ugh. It's going to be a long night!
A foot or more is expected in the area over the next day, so things are sure to be a mess around here for a while. This will be the first real storm we've had in almost 3 years. Forgive me if I sound a bit shocked...I think the weather guys finally got the forecast right for a change.
So I sit here rambling on this blog, trying to think about a millions things that will put me back to sleep. I'm hoping Monday will bring a better day...somehow I doubt it will because it means work begins all over again. I sure do hope I feel better in the morning. Guess I better try to go back to sleep now. Wish me luck!

3 months tomorrow…
A date that I’m very thankful to see. I’ve made it past the rocky 1st trimester road. All tests have come back NORMAL, Thank goodness!!!!. Everything is going well, so now we’re free to tell our friends and neighbors who we’ve not told yet.
We took a look at the crib that Dawn had and it will work out perfectly with my grandmother’s furniture that we plan to use in the baby’s room. We’re going to buy the bedding soon so we have a good idea what color to paint the room in the spring. Last night we also discussed about buying the stroller ourselves. That way, we are not running into the family feud of who bought us what. We’d rather by those two big items ourselves and not hear it from either side of the family. (Yes…our parents can be childish like that.) There will be a few other large items for them to purchase….so they can battle over those items as they wish.
Our weekends have been packed with cleaning up and going through stuff that we don’t need in our house anymore. Trying to make room for baby and how our lives are about to change. I’m getting really EXCITED!!!!!

Hershey Co. closing Peppermint Patty plant
Associated Press
READING, Pa. (AP) — A flag is flying at half-staff outside The Hershey Co. plant in Reading where production of York Peppermint Patties is ending.
After 23 years in Reading, the chocolate maker is closing the plant Friday and moving production to a new factory it has built in Monterey, Mexico. It will mean the loss of 300 jobs in the southeastern Pennsylvania city.
The plant also makes 5th Avenue and Zagnut candy bars and Jolly Rancher hard candies.
The nation's largest candy manufacturer announced two years ago that the plant would close as part of a wider move by Hershey to eliminate 1,500 jobs and one-third of its existing production lines, shifting more manufacturing to contractors in the United States.
Some workers will stay on for a few more weeks to close the plant.

Shitty Day!
Today has been a shitty day...woke up today to a 5% decrease in pay, with little to no explanation of what my company is going to do with that money. Oh well…can’t bitch, guess I’m lucky to still have a job. So I’ll bend over and say “Thank you may I have another”.
Life just seems to be spiraling out of control right now and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I hate that fact that I try to do my best and make sure everyone has what they need, make myself available to people and I still get shit on no matter what I do.
Dawn said she was going to stop by this morning to pick up a table that she need for Saturday. Told her last night, what time not to come because I had meetings. Called her to see where she was and she didn’t answer (was on the other line) and then called her again and she said.. “oh well...I’m out running errands, don’t think I’ll be able to get to you until later.” Well THAT just pissed me off, because that shows the total disrespect that she has for me and my time. It is all about her and her little freaking world and F- what everyone else has going on. Where the hell is the respect for people these days. UGh!!!! So frustrating… Today is just an overall bad day that no matter what I do I keep getting shit on and I’m getting pretty tired of it!

How cool would it be if this kid was born on Sept. 9, 2009?
Wondering how can I work that out with my doctor?

Viewings & Old Memories
Last night I went to a viewing to show my support for an old co-worker whose father passed away last week. I did not know his father so I had no connection to him at all. No tears were shed and I was fine, I was there to show my condolences to Michael and his family. Having lost most of my family and many friends, viewings are hard for me to go to. I fought with the decision of going or not going, but knew it was the right thing to do, so I went. Driving there… brought up many old memories of my family and friends whom I’ve lost. These are memories that I would rather not think about, because it takes me forever to turn that part of my brain back off. I signed the book, paid my respects, sat and talked to my other coworkers and then left. The pictures of what I saw keep replaying in my head along with the memories of ones I’ve lost before. I hate this… though I’m doing other things… these memories are playing back in my mind like an old slide show. So now I have to distract myself with work, stupid funny TV shows or movies and other things so my brain thinks about other things. Going to sleep is painful after a viewing because all I see is the body in the casket of everyone I’ve lost. My brain will not turn off. I know death is part of life and we all have to deal with it. I just wish my brain wouldn’t relive every viewing or funeral that I’ve ever been too. It is creepy and I rather not think about it anymore, I’ve moved on. Sometimes I wish I could just forget those days all together.

Yesterday = Insane!
Yesterday was just insane. Work was nuts…Everyone must have know that I was leaving for the day(but I only told 1 person), because my e-mails, IM’s and cell phone blew up yesterday. Didn’t get half of what I wanted to get done. Ugh.. oh well!
Okay enough about that… I had my Nurses appointment yesterday afternoon. That appointment took FOREVER! OH MY GOD! We got there and I had to fill out 4 pages of information. Good God was that annoying… and that was all so they can put me in the system of the Hospital.(Ummm… Hello! I’m already in your system. Thanks for checking) So I get done the paperwork which took 20 minutes to complete. Then I get ambushed by a nurse who want me to get my thyroid checked so they can see if I qualify for a research study or not. UMMMMMM…….NO! The one thing you do not do is back me in a corner and ambush me with information and push me for an answer. OK at that point… I am PISSED! Had to pee twice since I got there and finally a half hour after I arrived. The nurse finally comes out to get us. I kind of new what we were going to talk about, but was not expecting the brain dump that this lady gave me. GOOD GOD!!!!!!! Great information was shared… but total information overload for me. WOW! An hour later… I emerged from her office with a bag full of goodies, an arm full of paperwork, a script for full blood work-up (which it they had been on time I would have gotten done yesterday, but the damn nurse left at 4:15. So I must go get that done on my own time…ummm I’ll get to that on Monday.) and a spinning head.
After that appointment… we headed to the bank. Then to BJ’s to stock up on goodies and then to Greg’s parents house to go to dinner with them. We got home about 7:30 and I was mentally DONE and exhausted!
