Happy Halloween

Well all the little kids are on their way to sugar overload. Tonight, was a beautiful night for trick or treating...the sky was clear and it was pretty nice out...mid to upper 50's. While passing out candy to all the little ones, my husband and I talked about how when we were young it alway seemed like it rained and was freaking cold out. So cold that you had to unzipper your coat to show off your costume. We've been in our house for 4 years now and every year it seems to get warmer. Tonight was great...All the neighbors came out and we hung out with our drinks and passed out candy from one driveway. It was like a One-Stop-Shop for the kids.

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

Nothing New...

It's been over a week since my last real blog. Nothing really new to report... Went back to the Doctors on Monday... I still have bronchitis. Still feel like crap... and will for a little while longer! Oh well...one day I'll get better.

On my Birthday…

So what am I going to do on my birthday this year??? Well besides still being sick, not very much. Working from home…so I don’t have to torture my co-workers with all my sneezing, coughing and other lovely sounds. Then this evening I have to take one of my cats to the VET to see what the little black flakes are under her chin. Of course I did my usual internet search on this and it looks like she has Feline Acne. Yea…my cat has acne… which needs to be treated. Also known as dirty chin! Who knew! From there I’ll come back home and have dinner with my husband and rest.

No celebration, no cake.. nothing. Saving all that for this weekend!

Saturday, my husband and are going out with my best friend and her husband to the Melting Pot for fondue! We’re going to wine…dine… and have a wonderful time! Can’t wait! Then we’re off to a Halloween party afterwards…I love Halloween! Guess that’s what I get being an October baby!

Then on Sunday, the plan is to have my parents down for dinner to celebrate. Can’t visit with them today because I’m sick. Don’t want to give this viral thing to my Dad...it could put him back in the hospital. When I’m sick, I don’t come around! So we’ll get together on Sunday and have a fantastic meal prepared by my husband!

Not a bad birthday if you ask me...I can’t wait!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Me…
Happy Birthday to Me…
Happy Birthday…
Happy Birthday…
Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Buying stock in Puffs!

Yea - I'm going to look at what it takes to buy stock in Puffs tissues these days. With the rate I'm going through boxes, I'm going to own the company before too long....

Went to the doctors today... I have a viral infection, which is making its way into my chest. So she gave me a few prescriptions, told me to drink more fluids and get plenty of rest. Normal doctor speech when you’re sick. Both she and I tried to remember the last time I was really sick like this...she looked back in my file and it was almost three years ago. That is a record for me. Usually see her for the normal monthly check-ups. So for this to bring me into her office, you know it's kicked my butt. Will see if I can keep the tissue usage down to one box tomorrow.

Two boxes of tissues later...

Okay, after my big disappointment yesterday to find out I wasn't pregnant....My body decided to kick what I that was just simple allergies into a full-blown head cold yesterday afternoon. It's probably more then just a head cold, considering I'm freezing one minute and burning up the next and have no energy to do anything. So two boxes of tissues later, I'm ready to take a vacuum to my nose and suck the rest of the snot out of my head. Oh yea and as this wasn't enough for me to take...my period finally started today. I'm convinced the body is an evil, evil thing. Especially when your sick!

The Results

Leave it to my body not to disappoint... Just like I thought - I'm not pregnant. So for now, I quietly wait and hope that the period comes on by itself. At least it would make these cramps that I'm having be worth something. On Monday I'll call and make an appointment for sometime this week and see what the doctors says. On Monday, I'll start down the road of figuring out what the hell is wrong with me..........again!

I’m Late

I have a horrible past with having issues with unpredictable periods due to having PCOS. I could go months without having a period. At one point, I didn’t have a period for an entire year. Like I said – just horrible. One doctor put me on Provera every other month to reintroduce my period and said come back and see me in a year. So me not being completely happy with this resolution - switched doctors. Finally found a doctor who cared enough to spend time with me and talk to me about what was going on. He told me to come back and see him if I at any point I didn’t get my period. Leave it to my body to start acting normal at the time of this appointment and kick out a period, without any medication helping it. This was HUGE for me. With my husband and I trying to have a child, me getting back to normal was a blessing.

So for the past four months, by period has hit me, like clock work. Every time it hit, I was so thrilled…I know your thinking I’m sick - I mean how many women do you know are happy when the get their periods. So everything was going just fine… Except for this month...

Right now, I’m over a week late and I’m scared! Could I be pregnant - Yes, my husband and I are trying. Have I taken a pregnancy test yet – No! So why am I scared…I’m scared that I’m relapsing into PCOS HELL and I’m going to have to start taking medication again. I hate the fact that I need to take medication for something my body should be able to do naturally. I’m scared to go buy another pregnancy test for it to come out negative AGAIN!!! I’m scared because I’m feeling things that I’ve not felt before and isn’t what I consider to be a normal feeling for me.

So tonight on my way home, I will stop by the drug store and pick up another test. I’ll take it and then I’ll know… I’ll know if I’m about to go down the road of PCOS hell again or on the road to becoming a mom. I’m hoping for the road to becoming a mom…
To be continued…

Cry for Help

That is what I did this morning to my husband. I cried. Why? Because I was done.
Done handling the HUGE To Do list that I carry on my shoulders everyday. A list that I truly believe that he is oblivious too, until moments like this morning and I break down and cry. I cry because I get mad…I get mad because I don’t get any help. He thinks that just because he cooks dinner every night and does the dishes that's the end of his responsibility. What about the:
• Bills
• Dusting
• Vacuuming
• Laundry
• Cleaning of the Bathrooms (which he said he would do when we moved in)
• Clean the litter boxes
• Feeding the cats (he does help with this but not all the time)
• Rounding up the trash from the rest of the house on trash day.
• Picking up the mail (Rule: First one home gets the mail... he has gotten better
at this one.)

Follow-up on this and that...I could go on forever, but won't. Point is... I need help! I truly believe that all the stress with handling everything for the accident has gotten to me. I don't know... I could just be hormonal, I am 4 days late. Am I pregnant? I doubt it...Not getting too excited about being 4 days late... when I've been later than this before! Not doing a test anytime soon...I don't think I could stand the sight of seeing another negative pregnancy test! But that is a story for another day.

No reason to be involved!

While my husband and I were away last weekend, I received a call on my cell phone from my mother-in-law late Saturday night. Sounds normal...right? Wrong...my mother-in-law never calls me...EVER! So for her to call me on my cell, I knew something was wrong. It took her about a minute to finally tell me what was wrong. Turns out that she received a notification on her front door from the Sheriff's office for my husband. That was dated on Friday! Can only guess they never saw it on their door until Saturday. Who knows! She called because she was very concerned that Greg was in trouble. I briefly filled her in on what I thought was going on, while trying to keep my blood pressure from going off the charts. Let me fill you in....
My husband is getting sued for an accident that happened over two years ago. But for the past month we have been waiting for the Sheriff to serve my husband with the papers. Over a month ago...we received a note posted on our front door; we call the next day and talked to the officer who attempted to drop off the papers. When we talked to him, he wanted to know if anyone was home during the day, we told him no that we both work during the day and the only time we know we'd be home is after 7:30. With that, the officer got an attitude and said fine, he'd put a note on the papers and they'd be out after 7:30. He gave us no other date or time, except someone would be out. So the days passed and no paper work...weeks passed still no paperwork. No notes on the door…no knocks on the door...nothing! Now over a month later… still nothing at least to our house.

So imagine my anger, after a month of waiting…to get a call from my in-laws who are in a panic and wanting to know what the hell was going on, that they received a note. I couldn’t believe it. Now mind you…My husband and I have lived in our house for over 4 years. So for a legal note to show up to his parent’s house for him is completely uncalled for! There is no reason to involve them! Especially when you've already posted a note on our door and have talked to us! Come on people!

So last night after work, I stopped by his parent’s house and picked up the note and filled them in on what was going on. This morning, I called our attorney and left him a voice mail about what is going on and asking for a call back. I haven’t called the officer back who between 9-10 as the paper says to. We’ve already done that, we shouldn't have to do it again. Besides, I don’t want to talk to the officer right now, because I’m just a little to upset to. Before I do, I want to talk to our attorney…and I want some answers! I want know why they are trying to reach Greg at his parent’s house. How they even got his old address, why they even went there. WHY are the involving them?!?

The effort that they put into finding his parents address and going to their house, could have been used by knocking on our door on Friday instead! If they did knock on my door they would have found that someone was home…because I was working from home that day. If they did their job like they should have and just come here instead of his parent’s house. None of this would even matter at this point. To say I’m just a little frustrated is a complete understatement! UGH!!!!

Can't Fix Stupid!

My husband helped me realized today, that there are just some people in this world that can't be helped. They were just born stupid. Nothing you do or say will ring that little bell in their head. So I leave you with something to remember, the next time you come across one of these people...

No matter how hard you try...you can't fix stupid!

Chincoteague, Virginia

My husband and I are going away this weekend. Now, don't go awwwwwwww...how romantic... It's not exactly a big romantic getaway. We're going away with my best friend and her husband and their kids to Chincoteague, Virginia. This lovely getaway is all so the guys can go surf fishing and get ready for their BIG fishing vacation the week before Thanksgiving. I'm excited to get away. It's always nice to hang out with Dawn and the kids...they are my family(will explain later), so anytime we get together is always nice. So while the guys are on the beach freezing their butts off, the gals will be hanging out with the kids doing a little shopping and having some quality girl bonding time.

Attitude

This morning, my husband and I got into another spat...which seems to be happening more and more often lately! So, I asked him what his deal was...and he told me it was my attitude. Now I have to admit, I have been a real bitch lately, and I'm working on fixing it. Isn't the first step in correcting a situation, recognizing that you have a problem? So this morning, I thought about why my attitude has sucked lately. The first thing that came to mind is work....my work has to be making me this way.

Each day, I work with a group of over overpaid individuals, who don't know how to do the job that they're overpaid to do. Okay, some know how to do their jobs, but a few are just CLUELESS. So clueless, that I think they don't even know how to read. There isn't a day that I don't asked a stupid question, that they would know the answer to if the just read the information that was given to them. But do you think they read...no way. They're so use to having other people do things for them, that they don't know how to do things for themselves. They want someone to hold their hand and walk them through everything that they do. Now that things have changed recently in our department folks actually have to earn their overpaid paychecks..and of course they complain. They complain about EVERYTHING. It kills me...just shut-up already and deal with it. Oh, how I would love to just tell them to shut-up, but then I'd be a total bitch then and it would probably get me fired.

For years, these folks have put on a real good act and fooling folks to believe that they know how to do their jobs...and they don't. They've put on a good act and fooled a lot of people. But I've had their numbers for a LONG time and their act doesn't work with me. I was always the person that would go out of my way to help someone out. But not now...forget it, I'm done! I'm tired... I'm tired of being stepped on and used. They can't think for themselves, and I'm not going to do their thinking for them. I don't get paid enough to! I could ramble on for days, about the issues I have with my clueless co-workers, but I'm not. Don't worry there will probably be more blogs about them down the line... but the point of this blog is to help me figure out my attitude towards my husband.

So I've come to this conclusion - My co-workers are own their own. It's sink or swim time. It's time for them to help themselves and deal with it. I have to keep my attitude as positive as possible and keep me happy...going forward. The fact that my attitude is hurting my husband and our relationship kills me. So, I'll try this for a while and maybe, it will work and my attitude will be better overall and then our little spats we keep having won't happen anymore...or at least not as often.

Human Barometer

I feel horrible...I hate this time of the year, where one day it's nice and sunny and the next day cloudy and with the threat of rain. When it gets like this, I should just lock myself in my bedroom with a block of ice on my head. Migranes - they are evil things! I usually get the occasional headache, but not the migranes I was so use to getting a while ago. Now within the matter of a week, I've had two of them. The only thing that has changed is the weather. This has to be the toughest time of the year for me. I just hate it. Can I go to my doctors? Sure, she is wonderful... But there is nothing more that she'll tell me to do then what I'm already doing. We've been down this road before...I can't take the migrane medication, because it makes me sick. She could write me a note for my file at work so it's on file that I get migranes. But in the past that has only gone so far. Some women know when there migranes will hit them like clock work... I could be so lucky... One minute I'll be feeling great and then all of a sudden, I feel horrible. I'm at the mercy of Mother Nature...I'm a human barometer. This sucks!

Where to begin?

As I sit her contemplating what to write about, hundreds of things run through my head. But I figured I should start from the beginning to give you the overall picture of who I am and where I'm coming from. This will allow me to branch off into those hundreds of things later.

Who am I?

Female - in her late twenties.

Married for almost 2.5 years to a man I've been with since the end of my senior year in highschool, who is the love of my life...the person who keeps me grounded and laughing.

No children - but want them dearly... till then I'll have to just love my husband and three cats to death.

Recent College Graduate. Yes, I said recent... Eight years of night school (don't freak, I took a few breaks... so it wasn't 8 straight years...more like 6) to receive a bachelors degree in Interactive Multimedia Design and Technology. Translation = Graphic, Multimedia & Web Designer and Photographer. Eight long years for one long degree name that I'm doing nothing with at this moment. Eight long years of working full time at a job that was just a job, to help me get through college. Countless late nights and many sleepless nights. All for the honor to know that I'm the first person in my family to graduate from college or to even attend college for that matter. But most importantly, for the honor to see the smile on my mom and dads face the night of my graduation. Okay you can say it now...Priceless!

Sibling to a brother who passed away 10 years ago, this November at the age of 25.

Daughter to two wonderful parents, who are the world to me.

Best Friend to one...Friend to many...Acquaintance to many more. Throughout my life, I've had friends come and go. Many I thought would be around forever and others I hoped would leave me alone. But through everything... I have those few, that have always been there no matter what...those are my true friends.

Starting out

It was hard trying to find a name that wasn't already taken for this blog. So I just got feed up and said fine... lately I've put "all I got" into everything I do...so I figured I'd try it, and don't you know it wasn't taken. Then came the task of naming my blog... well I had to go with the saying my dad always uses... "Why Me".

Now these aren't the names that I would have really wanted for this blog.....but I'll take it. Don't really expect many folks to read this anyway...only the few that I choose to let in.

Why Not?

My husband asked me this morning, why I hadn't started my own blog yet...Honestly...I guess I never really thought about posting one, so tonight I figured...why not! What do I have to lose? If anything, it will help me get a lot things that I've had bottled up in side of me finally out. So here it is.. my first blog...just the first of many to come.
