So nobody in the family seems to like Eric's girlfriend Rachel. Eric is Greg's youngest brother. To put it nicely...she is a clingy bitch. She was a vegetarian but just recently became a vegan. So feeding this girl is pretty much impossible. Thank god we only deal with feeding her one night. Even then that was a challenge. But besides the whole vegan thing, she is just annoying. She talks all the time and hardly shuts up. If she's not talking to one of us, she is on the phone with her mommy. She is very childish, spoiled, blunt and rude. I think her parents have money so she is use to getting what she wants. She seems to be very needy. We've not been able to get Eric alone to talk with him since she is up his ass all the time. We meet her once before at Eric's graduation, and we didn't get that greatest impression about her then. This trip has confirmed what our feelings that we had about her. They have been together for about 2 years now. I don't know what type of hold she has over him, but no one in the family can figure it out.
Now I understand that being away from home for the holidays around people that you don't know can be kind of strange. So I can see where she can be bit uncomfortable. But wouldn't you want to make the best of it to get to know people that will probably be your extended family one day? She is all about her...and no one else. When she left our house Christmas Eve she never said thanks, bye, kiss my ass nothing. Never a thank you for the gifts we got her for Christmas. Nothing. Which rubs me and everyone else the wrong way.
I would love to pull Eric aside and talk with him, but she never leaves his side. so it is kinda hard. That fact that this girl could possibly our sister-in-law one day is just scary. They just bought a house together, so I assume the next step from them would be to get married. But deep down, I hope not. It's ashame to say it, but Eric can do so much better. I so wish I could tell him that. Would I be wrong if I did? I just don't want to see him make a big mistake. A mistake that me and the rest of the family is seeing. What would you do?

Christmas 2007
We got up around 9 and got ready to go to Greg's parents house. As we packed our car up, we noticed our neighbor sitting in his car playing with his navigation system that his daughter got for him for Christmas, so we talked to him for a bit and then made our way to his parents. Where Greg parents, mom-mom, his brother Steve and his girlfriend Erin, and his youngest brother Eric and his girlfriend Rachel were waiting for us. We picked Eric and Rachel up from the airport on Friday night. They live in Florida so it was nice to have Eric home for the holiday. We exchanged gifts and hung out for a little while and relaxed. I ended up spending most of my time listening to Rachel talk...and talk...and talk. More on her later. We left about 2:30 and headed back home where we waited for my parents to come down. We had left overs from the night before and then we exchanged gifts. We didn't go overboard on gifts this year. We kept it simple. Christmas was so nice this year...by far the best yet. I'm looking forward to our next family function where we all can get together again.
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve this year had to be the best one yet. Greg and I hosted Christmas Eve dinner for the entire family...19 people. It wasn't anything formal, just a very relaxing dinner... buffet style. Grab a plate, serve yourself and sit where you can find a seat and the drinks are in the cooler! It was FANTASTIC. Everyone eat, talked and had a great time. We didn't exchange gifts, we just enjoyed each other's company. My parents and Greg's parents seem to be getting along a bit better. I actually seem to be getting a long better with my in-laws too. Everyone had a great time. Exactly what the holidays are all about...spending time with family and friends and enjoying their company.

Happy New Year - you have to work!
Call this a PMS rant...I normally don't bitch about work, but today I just have to. While most people are off on New Years Day, I will be working. I will be working to run through reports that have said the same damn things for weeks. The "dry run" meeting for the next day with the bank. While the damn bank is off, we have to work. This is INSANE!!!! I will only have to work for a little while and so it really isn't that big of a deal. But what the hell is the point of being off for a holiday and you can't fully take it.
Rant over!

Room is done
The back bedroom that I decided to start cleaning @ 4:30 in the morning the other day is finally done. I finished it up on Sunday. It looks great! I'm so glad it's done. Now to straighten up the office. UGH! It never ends.... I know, wait till I have kids...I know, I know!
No idea
Christmas is in one week...and I have no idea what to get anyone. I'm in so much trouble....
LUCKY
Well leave it to my in-laws to get lucky. They sold their house, for about $20,000 less then what they wanted for it. But it is sold and they have to be out by the end of the month. I can see that our vacation next week is going to be to help them move and very little R&R for us. I'm happy that it sold quickly. We saw their new house on Saturday, it is nice... I actually like. I've happy for them that they finally have their dream home.
Round 3
Tomorrow I start Round 3 of Clomid. 150mg this time. The HSG (dye test) test won’t happen this month due to the timing of my cycle and holidays. I knew that was going to happen. : (
So now we shoot for the end of January for it to be done. I do see the doctor on the 28th to see how the ovaries are taking this dose of Clomid, due to that minor spell I had after I finished round 2. So here we go…Round 3…I pray my hormones are nice to me this round.

Some may say that I’m a goodie-goodie and that I’ve never been gone completely wild and let my hair down. For the most part I would say that is probably true. I grew up pretty early for my age. As I got older I picked up on the things not to do from those around me. One decision I remember making when I was pretty young was I would never smoke nor drink myself to the point where I made myself sick.
I grew up in a family that smoked a lot…my dad, mom, uncle and grandmother always smoked. My dad thankfully quit over 25 years ago. I watched my grandmother slowly die at the young age of 69 from years of smoking. Seeing the effects of what smoking can do to someone made me never want to even try those nasty little things. So I never have and never will.
The other lessons I learned pretty early on in my life, is that I was never going to drink to the point where I made myself sick. I have many memories of the summer time on the boat with my parents. We would meet up with my uncle and a group of other boaters and kickback and relax on the weekends on the water. The adults would be drinking and having a good old time. I was young and it never phased me at the time, when my uncle or my parents would yell for me to go grab them a beer from the cooler in the boat. The drinking would last all day and into the night. We usually spent the night on the boat on the weekends. There were many times I saw those around me spending their first waking minutes of the beautiful day, hanging over the side of their boat throwing up all the fun from the day before. My uncle was usually one of those people…
My Uncle Dave was an alcoholic. When I was pretty young he was in AA and was told by his doctors to stop drinking or he was going to dye. His liver was shot. That got his attention for a few years and he did great, not a drop. Then many years later he started drinking again. Guess he figured all those years he didn’t drink fixed his liver. Well it didn’t he die of liver failure when he was in his late 40’s.
When I was younger, I could never understand how come people would drink themselves to a point where they made themselves sick the next day. I personally hate being sick. Headaches and throwing up aren’t my idea of fun. Plus not being able to remember the fun that I had just didn’t make sense to me. If I’m going to have fun, I at least want to remember it and not hear it from my friends. So early on in my life I made a decision not to ever get that way.
And I never have…. I can count on one hand how many times I probably would say I had too much. I’ve never had a hangover a day in my life. Go ahead; call me boring, I don’t mind. Call me a goodie-goodie, I can take it. This is part of who I am.

# 1
The first thing you should know about me is that my memory SUCKS! My short term memory is pretty much non-existent. I can never remember people's names when I meet them. Things I need to remember I don't. Unless I write it down I will forget it. But for some reason I remember stupid things... Like lines in a movie or words to songs.
I sang along to a song the other day in the car that I hadn't heard since I was in High School. Greg thought I was crazy that I remembered this off the wall rap song that has to be over 10 years old. But I can't remember the name of the cookbook that he wants for Christmas. God how sad am I.... this fact about me drives me crazy.

Daily Paper
Something I didn’t know and probably would never had known if I wasn't up at this time of the morning. My paper gets delivered at 4:45. See you learn something new everyday!
Up at 4:30 AM and ready to go get things done!
It is 4:30 AM and I’m wide awake. I’m still slightly tired but can’t fall back asleep. Can’t seem to shut my mind off with everything that needs to be done, so for some stupid reason my body said, “Let’s get up and go get things done.” So here I am, checking e-mails, wanting to start a load of laundry and go clean my back bedroom. I think I’ll leave the laundry until later as it may wake Greg up. But cleaning the back bedroom isn’t a bad idea; I’ve been putting it off for a while now. It should take me an hour or two to go straighten that mess up and it should be all set for me to work in then. The back bedroom is my scrapbooking/craft room that I’ve been trying to organize for the longest time. Since it’s been a mess, I’ve not used it. I’m in a cleaning mood and want to get everything cleaned up. Don’t know why I’ve got the urge to do it at 4:30 in the morning. But hey, as long as it gets done…right. This crazy.

Round 2 - Results
I called today for the results of my blood work from last week. With the 100mg of Clomid my progesterone levels are now up to 10.2 from 3.8. Which is a great improvement, but as before they want my levels to be above 12. So this means that I'll start a third round of Clomid this time at a 150mg, with the hopes to get above 12. Then if my cycle schedule fits into the doctors and between the holidays, I'll go for my dye test to see if my tubes are blocked or not. Keep your fingers crossed that I can get it done this month. I'd hate to wait another month. I have a feeling that they are. I'm probably following in my mom's footsteps, hers were blocked and they had to go in and unblock them. But we'll see...I'm going to stay positive.

In-laws (Rant # 1)
I don’t have what you would call a great relationship with my in-laws. I’m not one to call my mother-in-law up just to say “Hi” or take her out to lunch. My relationship with them is good and I guess normal in some cases. I am polite and nice when I’m around them, we talk about what’s new and that’s pretty much it. I can’t say that we have much in common. I’ve known them for 11 years and feel like we should be closer, but we’re not and that’s okay. They are very opinionated people….they think they know it all about everything. I feel like they look at Greg and I as still children. No matter what we do or suggest to them, it never seems to be good enough or right. Even though we are right sometimes, we are still talked to like we have no fucking clue. For years I’ve seen them put Greg and his brothers down. No matter what…it never seems to be good enough. They always have an opinion about everything. Now don’t get me wrong, they are supportive sometimes, but most of the time it comes with a comment or two.
A month or so ago, his parents tell us that they’ve been looking at this ranch house a few miles away from where they live now. At that time they starting moving 100mph to get their current home fixed up. Suddenly things that had been an issue with their home for years were now fixed. Next thing we know, they put a bid on the house and it got accepted. The price of this house is outrageous, for what I call a really basic home. There are no upgrades to this house….nothing that makes you go wow!!! They could have bided much lower then what they did and still would have gotten the home. But nope… they did it their way. So now they go to settlement on this house next Friday and will start moving in after Christmas.
If you ask me, I don’t think they thought about what the hell they were getting themselves into when they bought this house. They signed the contract on this house before their current house was even ready to go on the market. They just put it up for sale last week. And for about $30,000 less then what they should try to sell it for. The realtor they are using is taking them for a ride and feeding them every BS line in the book. They are listening to her and not taking anything that Greg, I or anyone else is saying into consideration.
The last time we were at his parent’s house, they pretty much fought with Greg about what he was saying about the comps this realtor pulled for them. The comps she pulled were for homes in other areas of Delaware that didn’t even compare to their house. Nothing remotely close to the land or what their house has to offer. So Greg voiced his concerns about the comps and offered some information to them about what he seen about the recent housing market in the area. Don’t you know his parents pretty much chopped him off at the knee and squashed him like a bug. Short from telling him that he doesn’t know what the F-he’s talking about. That was the last time he really had any conversations with his parents about this move. He could care less about what they do now and doesn’t want anything to do with helping them move.
It’s probably safe to say that it’s the changed the way he looks at his parents now and his relationship with them. Greg has always tried to do well in everything that he does and prove to them that he knows what he’s talking about. All he’s ever done is try to make them proud of the man that he’s become… but no matter what, they always seem to find a way to knock him down. Like I’ve said, I’ve seen this go on for years. I’ve been a victim of the put downs (that’s another blog to follow) too. It makes me sad to see him hurt and angry at his parents. I just wonder if they have any clue that what they say hurts the people around them. As I will write in my next blog…I will probably be the one to call them out one day about what they do to people. One day they will open that door for me with a snide comment, and I’ll be ready to chop them off at their knee and squash them like a bug.

1st Snow of 2007
It's snowing here today. Light flurries during the day, but now it's really coming down. Big old wet flakes!!!! Were not expected to get much...3 inches if that. Just enough to make thing messy for a few days. Its been very cold here since Thanksgiving so the snow is freezing on contact. Roads are slippery and cars are slip sliding all over the place.
I love to sit and watch the snow fall, everything looks so pretty when it snows. I just wish we'd get more then just 3 inches. Like I said it's just enough to make things messy for a few days...If it's going to snow, then make it worth my wild...a foot would be great. Anything less then 6 inches is just a big nuisance.

Harder then I thought...
Coming up with 8 things is much harder then I thought. I don't want it to be anything cheesy like I've lived in Delaware my whole life. So I'm putting a lot of thought into this. I have a few things in mind, just not 8 good things yet.

A new week
It's a new week and I still don't fell like myself. I hope the blood work that I get done today, will explain what's going on.
I've been tagged...
I've been tagged to list 8 things that you probably don’t know about me. Hummm...this is going to take some time. I'm going to have to do a lot of thinking about this one. Thanks Amensia.
