Appointments
Do you ever have one of those weeks, that all you feel like your doing is running to and from appointments? That's what my life has felt like these past few weeks. Going to this doctor for this, and that doctor for that! Then to get told, I need to see you next week. When does it stop!
iPOD
I have to thank Apple for making the iPOD. If it wasn’t for them, I’d probably would jump off the bridge on my way home tonight. I’m in the office today, and folks are just annoying me. They are so loud! Lower your voices people! A few people are sick, so I keep hearing the coughing, sneezing and all the other lovely sounds they keep making! Then there are a few folks that are just plain miserable…and are never happy! They are so depressing! So I sit here with my headphones on and try to drown them all out…So far it’s working!

Poor Crossing Guards!
Today it’s raining… it’s rained consistently all day! As I sit her looking out my window I see the crossing guards in their yellow rain coats waiting for the kids to get out of school. There are times that I hate my job and I’m just miserable. I can’t help to think how much they probably hate their job on days like today.
Sophie and Felix
This morning, I dropped my two 7 month old kittens off to get declawed. I just called to check in on them, and both are doing well. The surgery went fine, both are awake and alert. So now they get to spend two fun filled nights at the vet to rest and recover. I can pick them up any time Friday morning. I told my husband, that I’ll be there at 8:00 on the dot ready to pick them up. I feel so bad that they have to stay locked up in a cage for the next two days. I don’t want them to be in there any longer then they have to. Though I know it’s the best for them. I just want them home… : (

Thing I learned today..
Don't eat at Cracker Barrel.
Don't every shop at Big Lots (at least not the one in Elkton, MD)
People walking while talking on their cell phones forget to look before they start to cross the street.
Kids should NOT be allowed to play in the street after dark.
Don't ever let my husband drive his truck in the Apple Orchard ever again!

Cracker Barrel
For those of you who know me, know that I don’t particularly care to eat at Cracker Barrel restaurants. Every time I eat at that restaurant (which is maybe once every two years) I always have a bad experience. Well my visit there today with my husband for lunch, didn’t disappoint. Have you ever wondered what the stars above their names on their aprons mean. I’ll make it simple for you...4 stars… better waitress…. 1 star bad waitress! What did we have today…you guessed it… a 1 star waitress.
I won’t bother going into details of what happened. But I will leave you with this advice…
1. Don’t eat at Cracker Barrel
2. If you must, ask for a waitress with 4 stars
3. If your experience is bad…Talk to the manager about your experience when you go to pay for your bill (you’ll only have to pay for half the bill)
4. Don’t leave a tip
5. Don’t eat at Cracker Barrel EVER!

Congratulations Anne Marie!
On my way into work this morning, I received a call from my very good friend Anne Marie. She called to tell me that she was pregnant! Which is fantastic! I’m so happy for her.
It’s always good to start the day off with some good news!

Things I need to write about...
I've sat here and deleted lines of thoughts that just didn't seem to be going anywhere. So with a blank screen, I thought...Where do I start, when I have so much to say! So I figured I'd make a list of things I need to write about.
-Family
-Jamie's 10 year anniversary (this will be a book by the time I'm done)
-My relationship with my parents
-My relationship with my in-laws (probably shouldn't go there, but I will)
-My extended family
-Children
-Money
-Dreams
-Goals
-Health
-Friends
This list could go on and on....but this is enough to get me going....for now!

What the Hell is going on?
While home today trying to recoup and sleep, I hear a helicopter. Thinking it's the usual passer by flight, I ignore it. Well a few minutes later, I noticed that the helicopter is really, really close to my house. So me being of curious a mind I went outside to see what was going on. All I see is a state helicopter flying in circles over my house. I immediately start to freak and think some armed killer is on the lose and their looking for him. I go back in the house and lock the door fearing for my life. Over reacting…yes! I blame it on the lack of sleep that I’ve had for over a week now due to this damn bronchitis. So with a helicopter hovering over my house, I figured there was not point in trying to sleep…so I took a shower. Well after a nice long hot shower, I get dressed and I still hear the helicopter. I go back outside to see if I see anything else going on. Nothing! But a few minutes later I hear more helicopters off in the distance. Thinking to myself… What the HELL is going on?? I turn on the news, nothing. So I go up stairs into the spare bedroom and what do I see… Three Army Helicopters flying low heading straight towards me. I figured with the elections next week, some politician was doing a fly by or something. I go into my office, which is in the back of the house, to check online to see if anything was posted on our local newspapers website about something going on today. Once again…Nothing! But then as I’m looking online to see if we where under attack, I see the first of the three helicopters land at the football field behind the school across the street from my house. Then the 2nd and 3rd follow right behind it! Now really freaking out, I call my husband to see if he knew of anything going on. Once again…Nothing! Now being the nosey one that I am, I hop in my husbands truck and head up the street to see what the hell was going on.
What did I find…To my surprise, I see kids outside the middle school waiving American Flags, police and fire crews, news crews and tons of people. Still not knowing what was going on, I head down the street only to see another group of people standing outside our towns Fire Hall. But mixed up in this crowd is a bunch of military folks…. At this moment, things kinda started to go in slow motion…as I took everything in! Through the sea of people I see the Welcome Home Banners…Signs that said “We’ve Missed you”, “We love you!” , “Thank You Troops” and then I see a giant American flag hanging from the end of the ladders of two fire trucks, extended high in the air, like an arch of a door way. Then it hits me… I’m in the middle of a Welcome Home ceremony for our Troops! Holy Shit! So I started to drive back towards my house, I see a police car escorting a bus and a sea of cars following behind it. Me being the photographer that I am, I pulled over and snapped a picture of the bus as it drove by. WOW! I couldn't believe it!
Now the sad part is that when I got home, I dug through the paper to find something about this homecoming and once again...Nothing! I can only assume there will be a brief 30 second clip of this on the news tonight at 5. So I search the local news station (which is in Philly) website and found a brief and I mean brief article about the homecoming. I've pasted it below...

Homecoming To Be Held For Del. Soldiers
(AP) MIDDLETOWN, Del. The Delaware National Guard will formally welcome home about 30 soldiers from the 160th Engineer Company in a ceremony Wednesday at the Middletown Fire Hall on West Green Street.
The soldiers were activated under a presidential select reserve call-up last November and served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The battalion is headquartered in Middletown, but the soldiers are from all parts of the state.

I just have to say... To all the men and women on that bus… Welcome Home!!!!
